"This year, conforming with the four basic tariffs, two special issue and two general circulation stamps are to appear on 16th October, thus making the task of those sending greetings easier. We hope that the stamps celebrating the year of the millennium will suitably contribute to the sending of good wishes at and the New Year. General circulation stamps The general circulation stamp series appears within the framework of the Greetings theme. It was designed by the graphic artist Júlia Gyüre and printed in sheets of 50 with a perforation size of 30 x 30.77 mm by offset printing by the State Printer. The number of copies will be determined by demand. Both stamps conjure up the spirit using a technique of simplified representation. On the HUF 28 stamp there is a landscape and on the HUF 29 stamp there is a tree. With regard to circulation demands, the HUF 28 and 34 stamps will also appear in practical, easy-to-use booklets containing 10 stamps. The booklet fits comfortably into a purse or wallet and so the Post Office has made it possible to always have them at hand. As usual there will again be Advent postmarking during the weeks of Advent between 3rd-26th December 2000 in the village of Nagykarácsony (the place name includes the Hungarian word for ). Greetings with the Advent postmark are a nice present for your loved ones."
